The project involved the complete renovation of the entire existing building and the adaptation to current regulations on healthcare construction, elimination of architectural barriers, fire prevention, safety, seismic adaptation, adaptation of technological systems and, pursuant to Regional Law n. 4/2009 Piano Casa, the extension of the existing spaces on the fourth and fifth floors, in addition to the construction of a new fire-fighting lift.

The hospitalization areas, located on the first, second and third floors, are developed in cores according to the triple body model.

2 surgical outpatient clinics with operating room equipment were also created, a dialysis ward with 22 + 2 kidney places, a clinic and diagnostic imaging.

A total of 84 beds have been built inside the structure distributed as follows in the plans:

– first floor 29 p.l.
– second floor 28 p.l.
– third floor 27 p.l.

The socialization areas (living rooms) are located on all hospital floors, in a central position with respect to the rooms and at the access to the cores.

On the fourth floor, entirely dedicated to the dialysis service, a furnished terrace with benches and tables has been created.

On the fifth floor there is the rehabilitation gym and some general services such as the staff changing room, the maintenance room and the technical rooms for water treatment for dialysis.

In the area outside the building are located the technical rooms (medical gas plants, generator, pumping station, fire extinguishing system, electrical cabin) and some warehouses.
